The Medical Image Processing Laboratory (MIPL) was established in 2003 under the guidance of Prof. Chuan-Yu Chang. Our research focuses on developing intelligent recognition technologies for automatic optical inspection (AOI), infant cry analysis, and medical image processing. The MIPL is committed to cultivating members with the ability of applied machine learning and image processing technologies. We have cooperated with the teams of physicians such as National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch, National Cheng Kung University Hospital and Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital to develop a number of AI-assisted diagnosis systems. We work closely with the industry and have assisted companies (such as Cheng Shin Rubber Inc., Compal Electronics, AGC Display Glass Taiwan Inc, Unicharm, Formosa Advanced Technologies Co., Ltd.) to develop related intelligent recognition systems. MIPL has performed well in industry-university cooperation, academic research, and competitions, and has achieved fruitful results.
